Description of the accommodation
Villa Garatenborda is nestled on a 6000 m² wooded plot. 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, independent well-equipped fitted kitchen, large living / dining room with fireplace. Sleeps up to 8 people. Outside, a large terrace, a large heated swimming pool, a jacuzzi, a pool house / gym, a pétanque court, a tennis half-court, a fronton and a very large car park will allow you to create your most beautiful holiday memories on the Basque Coast.
Housing
After two years of work, Villa Garatenborda (completely renovated old farmhouse) was opened for rent for the first time in July 2021.
We want to do everything possible to make guests feel so welcome that they will return over and over again, and to ensure that they have an unforgettable stay. Few properties in the region provide so many services.
Particular attention has been given to both the exteriors and the interiors. The materials and products used are of high quality (exceptional Italian tiles, sanitary facilities, hotel bedding, bath and bathroom linen, 5 flat screens, etc.).
Villa Garatenborda can accommodate up to 8 people, and consists of 4 bedrooms (Guéthary, Espelette, Itsassou and Lekeitio) all equipped with TV), 3 bathrooms (green / black and gold / gold skyscraper) all equipped with towels, hairdryer, soap, shampoo …, a mezzanine, a fully equipped independent kitchen and a large living / dining room (table that can accommodate 10 guests) with fireplace. The Guéthary room is a large 28m² bedroom adjoining the spacious 12m² green « Skyscraper » bathroom. The whole constitutes a parental suite of 40m². The « Lekeitio » bedroom also has its own « gold » bathroom. The « Espelette » and « Itsassou » rooms share the « black and gold » bathroom. All the bathrooms have very large showers.
Outside you will find a large heated swimming pool (from April 1 to November 15), a 5-seater Jacuzzi operational all year round, a very large table for 14 guests for outdoor meals, a plancha, a pool house / sports hall, a tennis half-court, a 40 m² pétanque court and a fronton. The pool house sports room is equipped in addition to an elyptic, a weight bench, an indoor bike and floor mats with a complete bathroom with basin, shower, toilet. A large secure car park and a large terrace shaded by large parasols, not overlooked, complete this property which will allow you to create your most beautiful holiday memories on the Basque Coast.

Access
Getting to Villa Garatenborda is easy:
By car: A63 motorway, exit 4 from the south, exit 5 from the north (15 minutes from the Villa).
By plane: Biarritz Parme Airport (BIQ) (15 minutes from the Villa).
By train: Biarritz station (10 minutes from the Villa).
Travel to Arcangues is by car or bicycle. There are many footpaths for walking in the forest. There is even a path that starts from Villa Garatenborda and goes through the forest. At Arcangues there is absolutely no parking problem. When at Villa Garatenborda there is a large car park which can easily accommodate six cars.
In the village of Arcangues, all journeys are made on foot.
The nearest golf course is Arcangues (3 minutes).
The beaches of Biarritz are 15 to 20 minutes away.

Arcangues is an exceptional place.
Arcangues is ideally located geographically. The village is close to all places of interest such as Biarritz (same postcode as Biarritz), Anglet, Bayonne, Bidart, Saint-Jean-de-Luz, the interior Basque country, Spain is only 30 minutes away, Saint -Sébastien and its tapas / pintxos 40 minutes away. In the region, everyone dreams of living in Arcangues which is so close to the golf courses (9 within a radius of 20 km not to mention the 4 others in the south of the Landes), the many beaches and of course the famous waves of the Basque coast.
The village is typical of the Basque Country; the town hall adjoins the municipal school, the remarkable Church of Saint-Jean-Baptiste de l’Uhabia with its 17th century carved wooden galleries and its rich interior decor, the cemetery and its discoidal stones where the famous operetta singer Luis Mariano is buried, the atypical Theater of Nature created by the Marquis Pierre d’Arcangues, the Château d’Arcangues (where Duke of Wellington stayed in 1813 during battle of the Nive) with its museum and of course the Golf Course. Let us not forget the restaurants which offer local cuisine such as the Golf restaurant with its exceptional view, the Trinquet restaurant and its terrace shaded by lime trees, the Auberge d’Achtal located next to the fronton, starred restaurants such as the Moulin d’Alotz, or l’Atelier.
Arcangues is the starting point for many hiking trails. Biarritz « Queen of beaches, beach of kings » its imperial neighbor hosts several museums such as the Museum of the Sea, the City of Surf and the Ocean …, six beaches located between the eleven beaches of Anglet and the five of Bidart to name a few, its lighthouse, the Hôtel du Palais and Napoleon III, its nightlife…
